Ramsgate, Kent.—Soon after midnight on the 5th-6th September the watchman on East Pier reported that the local motor yacht lona had broken down off the harbour. The weather was calm, but there was a strong tide, and the yacht was drifting ashore.

The motor life-boat Prudential put out at 12.55 A.M., and found the yacht, with four men on board, about three-quarters of a mile off the East Pier. She towed her into harbour, and returned to her station at 1.15 A.M.—• Rewards, £10 11s..
