A Steamer (1)

Donagbadee, Co. Down.—7th April.

A report had been received of a collision off Blackhead, and the life-boat had gone to Blackhead, Co. Antrim. It was then found that it was Blackhead, Wigtownshire, on the Scottish coast.

On arriving there, the life-boat found only wreckage. She put into Portpatrick, and there learned that one steamer had foundered, but the other had rescued all except two of her crew. The owners made a donation of £10 to the Institution.—Rewards, £11..
