Gertruda

Weymouth, Dorset.—At 3.55 P.M. on the 25th February the Wyke Regis coastguard reported that a vessel two miles S.S.W. of Lulworth look-out was burning red flares. She was the motor vessel Gertruda, of London, and her engine had broken down. A S.S.W.

wind was blowing, varying from a moderate breeze to half a gale, and the sea was rough. The motor lifeboat William and Clara Ryland put out at 4.15 P.M., towed the Gertruda back to harbour, and returned to her station at 6.15 P.M.—Property Salvage Case..
