Fishing Boats (2)

Gourdon, Kincardineshire.—On the morning of the 18th February the local fishing fleet put to sea, but the weather grew bad and all but four boats returned.

At 10 A.M. the motor life-boat Margaret Dawson was launched, to stand by these boats in case of trouble.

A strong S. by W. breeze was then blowing, with a rough and increasing sea, and the weather was thick and very cold. The life-boat escorted the four boats safely into harbour, and returned to her station at 2 P.M.—Rewards, £15 11s..
