The S.S. Tanny, of Bristol
Tenby, Pembrokeshire.—At 6.17 A.M.
on the 12th December the coastguard reported that distress flares had been seen four or five miles N.E. of Castle Hill. A moderate N.W. gale was blowing, with a rough sea, and it was very cold. The motor life-boat John R. Webb was launched and found the s.s. Tanny, of Bristol, disabled by a boiler explosion. She rescued her crew of five and landed them at Tenby at 8 A.M.
