Southend-on-Sea, Essex. — At 12.55 P.M. on the 25th October the motor life-boat Greater London (Civil Service No. 3), which had just returned from the service already described, was warned that a yacht was ashore on Nore Sands, She put off again immediately.

A moderate west gale was blowing, with a very rough sea. The life-boat found the yacht Spray, of Portsmouth, aground on East Nore Sands. She took off the two people on board, and two life-boatmen were put on the yacht. She then landed the two people, returned to the yacht, and towed her in. She arrived back at her station at 3.25 P.M.—Property Salvage Case..
