Point Girl

Youghal, Co. Cork.—On the afternoon of the 30th November the motor lifeboat Laurana Sarah Blunt went out on exercise. When near Cape! Island, she saw two men in a small fishing boat, about a mile and a half S.E. of the island, waving for help. She was the motor fishing boat Point Girl, of Ballycotton.

Her engine had broken down.

She had dropped an anchor, but it was not holding, and she was dragging out to sea. The two men were very wet and cold. The life-boat towed the Point Girl into Youghal harbour, and returned to her station at 4.50 P.M.— Rewards, £5 17*. 6d..
