The Kish Lightship

Kingstown, Co. Dublin.—The motor life-boat Dunleary -was launched at 3.45 A.M. on the 19th March in answer to distress sigpals from the Kish lightship in Dublin Bay. A moderate to fresh S.E. breeze was blowing, with a rough sea. The life-boat found that one of the lightship's crew who had fallen overboard had been rescued, but was in need of medical attention.

He was landed by the life-boat and taken to hospital. The life-boat returned to her station at 6.40 A.M.

A letter of thanks and a donation of £10 10s. were received from the Commissioners of Irish Lights.—Rewards, £16 19s..
