Twin

On the 4th October two men put out in the motor fishing boat Twin, of Sunderland. A moderate E.N.E. breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea and rain. The Twin ran out of petrol and got into difficulties. Her anchor was dropped, but it failed to hold. She got into broken water and began to drag to- wards the rocks. The motor life-boat Henry Vernon was launched at 1 P.M., and found her about half a mile south of South Outlet. She towed her into safety, and returned to her station at 3 P.M. But for the life-boat's help the Twin and her crew of two would almost certainly have been lost.—Rewards, £9 2s. 6d..
