A Boat

At 2.30 P.M. on the 15th May the coastguard received a telephone message from Gravir post office that at 7 A.M. three men had put off from Lemreway in an open boat to fish, and had not been seen or heard of since. A strong N.N.E. gale was blowing, the sea was heavy, and there were showers of rain and sleet. The motor life-boat Wil- liam and Harriot put out at 3 P.M., and about two hours later found the missing boat near the coast about five miles from Lemreway, with her crew exhausted from exposure and fatigue.

They were rescued and taken on board the life-boat and their boat was taken in tow, the life-boat landing them near their homes at about 6 P.M. The life-boat reached her station again at 8 P.M., after having been out for five hours in very bad weather. Additional rewards were granted to the crew.— Rewards, £8 Is..
