On the 25th February there was an urgent call from Inishere, about nine miles away, for a doctor. A strong N.E. gale was blowing, with a rough sea, and as the motor life-boat William Evans was the only boat which could make the trip, she put out at 5 P.M., with a doctor on board. She returned to her station at 2 A.M. on the 26th.—No expense to the Institution..
