Quest and Imperialist

At 11.15 A.M. on the 4th January a moderate north gale was blowing, with a heavy breaking sea. As the local motor fishing cobles Quest and Imperialist were at sea, the No. 1 motor life-boat Elizabeth and Albina Whitley was launched. She met the Quest about two miles out and escorted her to the safety of the North Landing. She put out again and found the Imperialist about four miles N.E. of the station.

On the coxswain's advice the coble cut away her gear, and the life-boat accompanied her until she made the shelter of Bridlington Bay. The life- boat returned to her station at 2 P.M.

This was her first service.—Rewards, £14 16s..
