Help

T e n b y , Pembrokeshire.—On the evening of the 1st August the coastguard reported that a motor boat in the bay was dragging her anchor towards the beach. A strong S.E. breeze was blowing, and it was raining. The sea was heavy. The life-boat crew were assembled, and as the motor boat was still driving ashore, the motor life-boat John R. Webb was launched at 7.35 P.M.

She found that the boat was the Help, with two men on board. Her engine had broken down, and her sails had blown away. The two men were rescued and landed at the pier, and the life-boat returned to her station at 9.30 P.M. She could not be rehoused at once, however, owing to the state of the sea. The Help was later blown ashore and wrecked.—Rewards, £14 14s..
