Awards to Coxswains and Life-Boatmen

Coxswain's Certificate of Service.

The COXSWAIN'S CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE, and a PENSION, have been awarded to the following, on their retire- ment : SAMUEL THOMAS, 4f years coxswain, and 14£ years second coxswain, of the Southend- on-Sea life-boat.

ANDREW OLIVER, 4f years coxswain, 7 years second coxswain, and 5J years bowman, of the Hauxley life-boat.

THOMAS KYLE, 2J- years coxswain, and 20J years second coxswain, of the Holy Island life-boat.

Life-boatman's Certificate of Service.

The LIFE-BOATMAN'S CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE has been awarded to the following, who have retired : THOMAS EVANS, second coxswain for 7J years, bowman for 6J years, and a member of the crew of the St. David's life-boat for 30J years.

JOHN H. GILL, bowman for 11£ years, and a member of the crew of the Port Erin life- boat for 29J years. He was also granted a pension.

JAMES HABDY, bowman for 7f years, and a member of the crew of the Eastbourne life-boat for 6J years.

WILLIAM C. NANCE, a member of the crew of the St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly, life-boat for 28 years.

GEORGE H. GALE, a member of the crew and boat signalman of the Sunderland life-boat for 14 years..
