Argo

On the evening of the 30th May the coastguard reported that a yacht was on, or just off, the West Rocks, apparently in difficulties. A strong E. by N. breeze was blowing, with a heavy sea. The yacht seemed unable to get away from the rock shelf. She was rolling heavily and seas were breaking over her. The motor life-boat E.M.E.D. was launched at 8.40 P.M. She spoke the yacht, which was the Argo with two persons on board, and led her clear of the rocks and safely on her way into harbour.

She returned to her station at 11.20 P.M.—Rewards, £14 5s..
