On the 17th January the s.s. Plawsworih, of Newcastle, stranded off Workington, and thirteen of the crew were rescued by the motor life-boat.—Rewards, bronze medal, thanks of the Institution inscribed on vellum and monetary rewards amounting to £27 9s. 9d.
