Marie Celine

On the afternoon of the 9th August a tele- phone message was received from the coast watcher at Cahore that a ketch was ashore on the Rusk bank, about three miles from Cahore Point. A moderate to strong E. by N. wind was blowing, with a moderate sea. The motor life-boat K.E.C.F. was launched at 2.20 P.M., and found the ketch to be the Marie Celine, of Drogheda, bound laden from Glasgow to Wexford. She carried a crew of four. At her master's request the life-boat stood by until the ketch refloated on the rising tide, and then returned to her station. She arrived back at 11 P.M., having been on service for nearly nine hours.—Per- manent Crew, Rewards, £4 4s..
