Coxswain Henry Blogg and "Monte."

THE photograph on page 132 shows Coxswain Henry Blogg, of Cromer, with a dog which he rescued from the Italian steamer Monte Nevoso on 16th October of last year. life-boat crew found that two dogs had been abandoned on board. One, a St. Bernard, they were able to take off, but the other, a small dog, refused to let itself be caught, and had to be left behind. For the rescue of the dog Coxswain Blogg was awarded the silver medal of the Canine Defence League. He has adopted the dog and called it Monte..
