— On the evening of the 1st June the coast- guard telephoned that a small boat, with two youths on board, was drifting seawards out of control. A strong squally S.S.E. breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea. The motor life-boat M.O.Y.E. .was launched at 8.5 P.M. and found the small boat about one and a half miles N.N.W. of Porthdinllaen Point. The youths were taken into the life-boat and the boat was towed in.
