The Motor Life-boat Morison Watson was launched at mid- day on the 18th October as the owner of the fishing boat Campaina had brought news that his boat, which was riding at anchor in Garlieston Bay, with no one on board, was in danger of being blown out to sea. A gale was blowing from the W.N.W. and the sea was rough. The Life-boat took the Campaina in tow and brought her safely into Garlieston Harbour.
