Two Boats

At about 8.30 P.M. on the 10th August it was reported by visitors that a small fishing boat had not returned, and was believed to be fog-bound about one and a half miles S.E. of Bembridge. The Motor Life-boat Langham was launched in a smooth sea. She set a compass course in the fog and gathering dark- ness, and, after much searching, found the boat, and also a second boat. Each boat had two men on board. They were all taken into the Life-boat, which, with the boats in tow, steered for Bembridge, returning ashore at 11 P.M.—Rewards, £13 Is..
