The Staithes Pull- ing and Sailing Life-boat John Anthony was launched at 10.45 A.M. on the 5th October, as two of a number of fishing cobles which had put to sea to haul their crab pots had not returned and the sea had become rough, with a moderate N.W. wind blowing. One of the boats made Runswick and the other, the Star of Hope, came safely into har- bour with the Life-boat standing by.— Rewards, £19 2s.
