THE annual " Safety Week," organized by the National Safety Week Council, ou which the Institution is represented, is not being held this year at the same time throughout the country. Instead of this, local " Safety Weeks " are being held at different times. The Council reports that the holding of this " Week" last year led to a marked reduction in the number of accidents.

In order to help, Honorary Secretaries of Life-boat Stations have been asked, where possible, to arrange for the regular exercise launches of their Life- boats to take place during the " Safety Week.".
