The S.S. Glenaan

The Honorary Secretary received a tele- phone message from the Kildonan Coastguard at 3.55 A.M. on the 21st January to the effect that a ship was ashore on West Bennen Head, Isle of Arran, and the Motor Life-boat City of Glasgow was launched. A strong S.W.

breeze was blowing, with a rough sea.

The Life-boat found that the vessel was the s.s. Glenaan, of Belfast, bound light from Belfast to Glasgow, and that she had run ashore in the fog. As the crew were already safe on shore, the Life-boat returned home, reaching her Station at 8.30 A.M.—Rewards, £17 11s. 6d..
