The S.S. Aina
In response to information received from the Coast- guard, the Motor Life-boat H. F. Bailey was launched at 11.15 A.M. on the 13th January in a strong W.S.W. breeze, with a moderate sea, and went out to the Haisborough Sands. Finding noth- ing, the Life-boat returned to her Station; she then went off again and spoke to the s.s. Aina of Ventspils, which was about two miles to the N.N.E. The master stated that his vessel had been aground on the Hais- borough Sands, but had re-floated, and that he did not require any help. The Life-boat returned to her Station at 4.40 P.M.—Rewards, £12 7s. Qd..
