French Navel Vessels
At about 6.35 P.M. on 19th February, a telephone message was received from the Rockmount Hotel taat signals of distress had been seen in a position approximately four miles N.W. of Hanois Lighthouse. This was con- firmed from another source, and the Motor Life-boat Queen Victoria, put off at 7.5. P.M. A strong N.E. breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea. It was found that the signals came from French naval vessels exercising, and the Life- boat returned to her Station at 11.45 P.M.
