Emma
On 4th December at 12.30 P.M. the Motor Life- boat Mary Scott was launched to the help of the motor fishing boat Emma, of Southwold, with three men on board, which had been seen by the Coastguard to be flying a distress signal about one mile east of the Coastguard Station. A strong westerly breeze was blowing, with a moderate swell. The Life-boat found that the fishing boat's engine had broken down, and took her in tow, reaching shore at 1.15 P.M.—Rewards, £12 15s..
