On the after- noon of 7th November information that two anglers in a small boat were in dis- tress about one and a half miles ofi Hove was received by the Coastguard from the Hove Deep Sea Anglers' Club, to whom the boat and the men be- longed. A moderate S.S.E. gale was blowing with a rough sea and rain.

Within a few minutes the Motor Life- boat Maria left, the time then being 4.10 P.M. The Life-boat took the two men on board and returned to Shoreham Harbour with the small boat in tow.

A donation of five guineas was sent to the Institution by the Club, and the two men also made a donation.— Rewards, £5 4s..
