A gift of £40 has been received from a passenger, coming from Australia to England, on board the R.M.S. Bangitiki. This was the proceeds of a sweep on the day's run which he had won, and when the steamer arrived at Southampton, he sent it to the Institution, saying that he would always do anything he could for the Life-boat Service.
