Mr. A. J. G. Anson, of Hastings and St. Leonards

Mr. A. J. G. Anson, who died on llth January, at the age of seventy-seven, was from the beginning of 1917 until towards the end of 1925 the Honorary Secretary of the Hastings Station, and he retired then on account of serious ill-health. He was one of those Honorary Secretaries who by the care and pride which they take in the administration of their stations do so much to contribute to the efficiency of the Service. Mr. Anson's interest in the Station was shared by Mrs. Anson, who was Chairman of the Hastings and St.

Leonards Ladies' Life-boat Guild, retiring when Mr. Anson retired from the Honorary Secretaryship of the Station, and is still a member of the General Council of the Guild. On his retirement Mr. Anson was presented with a framed Photograph of a Life-boat going out to a vessel in distress, inscribed with the Institution's gratitude for his services..
