Total lives rescued from shipwreck by the Life-boats in 1927, in addition to which the Life-boats saved, or assisted to save, 23 vessels and boats 217 Life-boats also took 104 persons off vessels as a precautionary measure and either landed them or transferred them to other vessels.
Rewards were also granted by the Institution in the same periods for rescuing from shipwreck by means of Fishing and other Boats, etc 137 Total for 1927 1$54 Notice.
