FOE the sixth year running the fishwives of CuIIercoats have held their collection for the Institution on the occasion of the August road exercise and Launch I of the Life-boat in Whitley Bay, and | although, for the first time, they have not succeeded in beating their record —and they could hardly continue to do it indefinitely—they have collected the splendid sum of £114. Altogether in six years they have collected £615.

Mrs. Polly Dankin has again done what seemed almost impossible and increased her collection. Last year it was £28; this year it is actually four pounds more..
