LAST year the Institution lent photographs of portraits of Sir William ! I Hillary and Henry Greathead, and of a j i bust of William Wouldhave, to illustrate ; an article called " The Red Cross of the I Sea : the Romance of the Life-boat," i! which was published in Mersey, the ;j' magazine of the Mersey Dock Board |j Staff's Guild. This article appeared in ; j the October number. In the spring of this year the editor of the paper received the following letter from a correspondent in Brisbane:" I am obliged for your kindness in sending me copy of the October issue of Mersey, in which appears my previous letter of early recollections. The number under notice was on my office table, and on returning to the office after lunch a few days ago I found one of my typists reading same and very much interested in the ' bust' photographs of William Wouldhave, on page 78. It appears that this young lady is a descendant of his, as he was an uncle of her great-grand- mother."
