— On the 23rd December, during a strong south-west- erly breeze and rough sea, the schooner Margaret Murray, of Padstow, stranded on a sandbank to the eastward of the harbour. As it was thought that, with the assistance of steam power, it would be possible to save the vessel the Insti- tution's tug Helen Peele was despatched to her assistance.
