White Rose
At about 9.30 A.M. on the 16th July, a report was received that a fishing-boat was flying signals of distress about four miles from the land. A strong S.S.E. gale pre- | vailed at the time with a rough sea, I and the Life-boat William CantreH I Ashley was at once launched and pro- ceeded to her assistance. The boat proved to be the smack White Mose, of New Quay, with two persons on board.
i The sails had blown away in the gale.
The Life-boat therefore took the boat in tow, and brought her and her occupants in safety into New Quay Harbour..
