The No. 1 Life- ; boat Marie Lane was called out during foggy but smooth weather, on the 17th August, to the assistance of the cutter Cecil, of Lowestoft, which had stranded on the Scroby Sands. The Life-boat remained by the vessel until she re- floated, and then returned to harbour.
