Hetty

At about 5.20 A.M. on the 22nd January, signals of distress were observed on the schooner Hetty, of Falmouth, which was in Fishguard Bay. In response the crew of the Motor Life-Boat Charter- house were assembled, and the boat proceeded to the vessel, which by this j time had drifted outside the eastern I breakwater and run ashore. When j the Life-boat reached the distressed vessel the crew of four hands were rescued, together with their dog, and landed in safety at the quay. During this service a whole N.N.W. gale was blowing, with a heavy sea, and the weather was very cold, with rain and sleet falling..
