The S.S. Dalegarth

— The Motor Life-boat James Stevens No. 14 was called out at 11.15 A.M. on the 26th November to the assistance of the s.s. Dalegarth, of Newcastle, which had stranded on the Sunk Sands. When the Life-boat reached the vessel the Master engaged the Life-boatmen to save her. An anchor was laid out and by this means the vessel, aided by her own steam, succeeded in getting clear of the sands. The Life-boat then returned to her station..
