Fishing Cobles

At about 2 o'clock on the morning of the 6th January three of the fishing cobles belonging to Flamborough put out to sea. About three hours later, when the boats were five miles from home, the N.N.W. wind freshened until it was blowing a strong gale, bringing with it a heavy sea. As it was realized that the cobles would be in considerable danger the No. 1 Life-boat Forester was launched to their assistance, and stood by them until they had success- fully weathered the headland and got into safety at the South Landing..
