The motor fishing-boat Victor, registered at Montrose but belonging to the village of Johnshaven, when returning from the fishing ground on the 23rd October, got into difficulties owing to the un- satisfactory working of the motor, and as a heavy sea was running, the crew were unable to make the harbour. A flare being burned for assistance, the Life-boat Sarah Ann Holden was launched, and stood by the boat until she succeeded in making the harbour.
