Several of the fishing-cobles, when returning from their fishing on the 23rd October, were overtaken by a heavy sea. Most of them succeeded in making the harbour in safety, but the last boat, which was some distance behind the others, was ex- posed to considerable danger, owing to the sea having grown very fast.
