A Motor Vessel Innesmurry

At about 7 A.M. on the 25th October a motor vessel named the Innesmurray, of Glasgow, was observed drifting north- ward flying signals of distress, and the Life-boat TheopMlws Sidney Eckalaz was launched to her assistance. It was ascertained that the vessel was bound from Glasgow to Wick with a cargo of coal, but the motor had broken down, and the vessel was in danger of being driven on to the rocks as the wind was blowing a strong breeze from the E.S.E.

There was also a heavy sea running in the vicinity of the rocks. The Life-boat stood by the vessel until the master succeeded in starting his engine and was able to run at about half speed; the Life-boat then returned to Gourdon, and sent a telegram to Aberdeen asking that a tug should be sent to help the vessel..
