The trawler Gladiolus, of Lowestoft, stranded on the North Pier Extension when inward bound on the 16th May. In answer to her signals of distress the No. 2 Life- boat Stock Exchange was launched and proceeded to her. On arrival the Captain stated that he did not require any immediate help.
