Several of the fishing cobles belonging to Scar- borough were overtaken when at sea by bad weather on the 14th January. All the boats with the exception, of one, which was named the Queensbury, suc- ceeded in getting into safety, but as it was feared that this coble might be lost, the Life-boat, which bears the same name, Queensbury, was sent to her assistance and saved the three men, bringing their boat also into safety..
