Margaret and Alice
On the morn- ing of the 26th September the fishing- boat Margaret and Alice, of Liverpool, grounded on the rocks on the east end of Puffin Island, and made signals of distress for assistance: The crew of the Life-boat Christopher Brown 'were summoned from Beaumaris, and the boat launched to her assistance. On reaching the vessel it was found that the crew of four hands wished to be landed as they feared their vessel would become a total wreck. The weather was very unsettled at the time, and if- the wind had freshened the men would have been in considerable danger. They were accordingly taken into the boat and brought to Penmon, where they were landed at 4 P.M..
