Lark

In a strong E.S.E. gale, thick weather, and very choppy sea, on the 13th'December, the steam trawler Lark, belonging to Hull, and bound for that port with a load of fish, stranded on the rocks about five miles north of Flamborough Head.

A telegram from Filey conveyed the intelligence to the coxswain of the No. 1 Life-boat Forester that a vessel was ashore, and without loss of time the boat proceeded to her. On reaching the ship the crew of nine hands were taken into the boat, which returned to Flam- borough, and landed them in safety.
