Ivy Leaf and Edward and Ada
The Life-boat Charles Hargrave was launched in a strong N.W. by W. gale and heavy sea to the assistance of several of the local fishing-boats, which had been overtaken, when at sea, on the afternoon of the 20th December. The boats Ivy Leaf and Edward and Ada had had their sails blown away, and when the boat reached them the men on board were in an ex- hausted condition and the boats half filled with water. Some of the men were taken into the Life-boat, which then towed the two boats in safety to Kingsdowne..
