On the 30th November, whilst four of the fishing cobles were at sea, the wind increased and the sea became very heavy. When the boats were returning it was seen that they were in imminent danger off Newbiggin Point, and the Life-boat Ada Lewis was launched and stood by them until all had got into safety.669.
