Ellwood
On the 7th November, the schooner Ell-wood, of Dublin, bound from Wicklow to Gaston with a cargo of timber, also got into difficulties when in the outer roads Holyhead Bay. In response to her signals the Duke of Northumberland put off and took the crew of four men ashore. Although the vessel was in a very dangerous position her anchors held, and next day the Life-boat again proceeded to the vessel and assisted to take her into a safe anchorage..
