While the fishing cobles were at sea on the 3rd May a strong wind sprang up from the S.E. Ail the boats managed to land in safety, however, with the exception of one named the Louisa, which had been delayed in hauling in her gear. As the wind was increasing in force it became necessary to launch the Life-boat Ada Lewis, and she stood by the coble until the crew had landed safely..
